Roller Die + Forming’s Queretaro, Mexico Facility Demonstrates 5S and Lean Principles

Roller Die + Forming has four facilities to serve our customers. Our locations are spread across the southeastern US and Mexico. The Mexico facility generally serves clients who also have manufacturing plants in the area, but parts made in Mexico also move on to be finished products around the world.

The team in Mexico takes great pride in the quality of the facility and our ability to deliver to our customers in a timely fashion. As part of these efforts, they implemented the 5S methodology, which represents the Japanese words for sort, straighten, shine, standardize, and sustain, a system that helps a workplace not only stay organized but improve functionality and efficiency.

The Queretaro, Mexico plant focuses on developing a culture of continuous improvement. In addition to implementing 5S, they work using a Kaizen or lean manufacturing system designed to achieve regular, incremental improvements. This effort has really paid off. When visitors come to Mexico to visit the Roller Die facility, they always comment regarding the cleanliness and order displayed. The team there is proud of the progress they’ve made and appreciate it when our customers notice.

In addition to being ISO 9001 certified for our quality management system, our Queretaro facility has won numerous awards as an automotive, commercial, and appliance supplier. We are a valued part of the supply chain for many different parts and have the capability to take on more.
