If you’re looking to purchase roll formed parts, one question you may have is about the tolerances we can hold. For certain applications, such as the in the appliance and automotive industries where the parts we are rolling have to slide perfectly alongside other components, tight tolerances mean the parts will fit exactly in place every time. For other parts in other industries, this may matter less.
Our standard tolerance guide is a great place to start planning. These are the tolerances we can and do easily hold on all parts we roll.

Tolerance matters in many industries, not just those where parts must fit closely together. One great example of this is when we are rolling racks for solar panels. While ¼” may not matter when you only have one or two panels, if you stack them up over a mile in a field of arrays, that difference can start to add up! This throws off installation and other calculations on the solar array field.
