Metal Finishing and Painting

Metal Assembly Services

Roller Die + Forming is an industry leader in providing metal finishing services. From powder coating to toll coating, wet paint finishes, e-coating, and more, we offer you a wide range of metal finishing options to meet your needs. With our metal finishing capabilities, we can improve the appearance and durability of your various metal parts and components.

Our Rossville, Georgia plant has the distinction of having an in-house, state-of-the-art powder coating system providing automotive and appliance-grade quality finishes. An eight-stage wash and pre-treatment system using nano-technology assures parts are clean and that there will be a high level of corrosion resistance. Salt spray test chambers are used for verification.

On the coating line, new computer controlled spray systems optimize efficiency and ensure consistent quality. Our system is designed to handle various substrate materials, from hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel to galvanized materials and aluminum. We powder coat both small and large parts.

At our other plants, we work closely with various finishing suppliers to provide completed parts or assemblies requiring powder coating, wet painting, e-coating, or anodizing.

All of our plants perform buffing and polishing operations before shipping parts to your location. We can also offer just-in-time delivery and kitting to further provide the right parts at the right time in the right sequence.

What is Metal Finishing?

Metal finishing is done to improve the appearance of steel or metal surfaces and prevent corrosion. The process involves changing the surface of a metal part or component in order to improve its appearance, make it more durable, and make it corrosion-resistant.

What Are The Advantages of Metal Finishing?

Industrial metal finishing is known to offer the following advantages:

Enhance Aesthetics

Metal finishing will help to improve the appearance of a metal part or component.

Reduce Friction

Finishing a metal part can help to reduce the effects of friction.

Corrosion Resistance

Metal finishing helps to limit the impact of corrosion on metal parts. The coating helps keep the air from the metal, making the component more resistant to rust or corrosion.

Promote Paint Adhesion

Having a finished coat can serve as a primer coat to promote paint adhesion.

Increasing Solderability

The metal finishing process can be done to make it easier to solder metal parts.

Protective Layer

Metal finishing provides metal parts with a protective layer that increases wear resistance. Also, it helps in strengthening the substrate.

Others

Also, metal finishing can be done to enhance chemical resistance and make a metal surface electrically conductive. The process also helps to clean, polish, and remove surface defects.

Using Roller Die’s Standard Tolerance Guide

If you’re looking to purchase roll formed parts, one question you may have is about the tolerances we can hold. For certain applications, such as the in the appliance and automotive industries where the parts we are rolling have to slide perfectly alongside other components, tight tolerances mean the parts will fit exactly in place […]
