Rapidly growing custom metal forming company Roller Die hires new CFO Kent Houserman, CPA.

LOUISVILLE, KY, December 9, 2019 – Louisville-based custom metals manufacturer Roller Die + Forming recently added to their talent pool of executives, hiring Kent Houserman, CPA to fill the CFO position. With over 100% growth over the last ten years and further growth projected, Roller Die management knows that bringing in talent that can help guide the company is key to success. In order to sustain growth and continue to provide great service for customers, the Roller Die team plans to stay ahead of the growth curve they are experiencing.

HousemanHouserman brings a depth of strategic financial experience in manufacturing, acquisitions, company turn-arounds, and rapid growth organizations to the Roller Die team. In his new role, he plans to make sure Roller Die has the pieces in place to execute quickly to meet growth goals. From a finance perspective, this means making sure we have the structure and funding in place. This requires access to resources, both in human and financial capital to support the growing needs of the business.

“Roller Die is focused on speed, how fast we can meet our customers’ needs and how quickly we can throughput product,” said Roller Die + Forming CEO Ray Hammons. “Growth and speed mean that we need to focus on efficiencies in our administration as well as in the manufacturing plant. I believe Houserman will help us meet our goals in both areas.”

In addition to overseeing the financial arm of the company, Houserman will be working alongside senior management to review and evaluate opportunities for future growth. The team is always exploring different ways to grow, from acquisitions to internal growth. They work to determine the best way to serve customers and grow in a smart and non-disruptive fashion.

Houserman began his career in private industry and working in a family business before returning to Florida International University to obtain his Masters in Accounting and CPA. Upon graduation, he worked in public accounting practice, with a large national firm auditing private and publicly traded manufacturers. Upon leaving public accounting, Houserman served as a Fortune 500 Controller and CFO for a variety of automotive and motion control manufacturers with over 20 years experience. Houserman compliments the executive expertise at Roller Die, where he plans to leverage this experience with best practices and lean technologies to help drive efficiencies and successful solutions for Roller Die’s customers.

Outside of work, he is an avid wakeboarder and enjoys playing music with two sons. He can be seen attending live music venues and traveling with his guitar in his work travels between the Roller Die facilities across the U.S. and Mexico.
